This year, my ninth in a row "Project 10 Billion Labour Day Walk" will be dedicated to Jack Layton leader of the official opposition who passed away a couple of days ago.

The route is about 25 miles in length. It starts anywhere along the route at 9:00 am on Labour Day (Sept. 5th this year).

East on Queen St. from Carlaw to Bathurst, north to Eglinton, East to Don Mills, South to Thorncliff Park, Pape then Carlaw onto Queen again. I start at River St. and will be having lunch at Yonge & Eglinton. Half route or one hour walks can be done.

The L.D. parade have Union floats from Millionaire Hockey Players to lucky Auto mcjob workers amongst others.

As Jack would have wanted it, this is a walk for all the people not just a few that are having a great time at the expense of our and nature's health.
